Originally from Canada, Adam moved to Costa Rica six years ago and made Tamarindo home. He knows what it feels like to start over in a new country—figuring out neighborhoods, lifestyle, and whether a property actually fits the life you want. That is the part of the job he cares about: walking buyers through the process, answering the questions that keep people up at night, and making sure they do not feel alone in a foreign market.
Purchasing real estate in Costa Rica can be challenging if you do not work with the right people. The legal process, due diligence, developers, title work, and local customs are different from what most buyers are used to. Small gaps in communication or the wrong advice can turn a straightforward purchase into a long, expensive problem. Adam’s role is to close that gap. He helps clients understand each step before they take it, connects them with trusted local professionals, and stays involved so nothing important gets missed.
Before real estate, Adam spent years helping customers succeed in the short-term rental world. At Hostaway, the vacation-rental software platform, he led onboarding operations and a team of customer success managers. He was there through a period of rapid growth as the company scaled from a much smaller business toward a near-billion-dollar valuation and later unicorn status. That work was always about people: getting owners set up, solving problems, and helping them get more from their properties. He brings the same approach to buying in Guanacaste.
Whether you want a place to live, a vacation home you will actually use, or an investment that can perform as a rental, Adam’s focus is the same—help you find it, understand it, and close with confidence.
