Playa Grande

National-park beach, turtles, and a slower Gold Coast.

Playa Grande is protected, surf-famous, and deliberately less built-up than Tamarindo — which is the point.

Las Baulas National Park shapes what you can build and how close you sit to the sand. That restriction is why the beach still feels like Costa Rica. Inventory is a mix of older surf houses, newer hillside homes, and lots that need a serious attorney review before you sketch a villa. Grande is a short estuary crossing or drive from Tamarindo, so you are not isolated — you are just choosing quiet. Ocean-view and near-beach homes here are finite; Adam only surfaces ones with clean title path and realistic rental or residence use.
